group sessions
why group sessions?
Running indoor winter training sessions for my rowing club in the village hall is what first inspired me to become a PT. Training in a group with a common goal is both more fun and effective than going it alone. Group sessions are brilliant because you surrounded by like-minded people. You’re more likely to work harder and get more out of your training, plus you’re almost guaranteed a good laugh. I run several open sessions as well as small private groups for 3-6 people.
What’s it like?
CIRCUITS: I like to keep things varied, so you’re not likely to do the same workout more than once. Most sessions follow a ‘circuit’ style with a variety of different movements so that you’ll always get a full body workout. These sessions are designed to be adaptable to all abilities, with the intensity dictated by you. Plus you can bring your little ones along too!
STRENGTH TRAINING: I hold these sessions in 5-7 week blocks at the gym at Penryn College. The focus is on strength training (building muscle) so it’s a slower style of session, using barbells and free weights. Ideal for runners, rowers or anyone who wants to get a bit stronger.
PRIVATE GROUPS: These sessions can be tailored to your groups needs - sport, age or interest specific!
